Milli and Paul are two of the nicest, most genuine people around, and their Bellarine Peninsula Wedding at the Portarlington Mill was clear evidence of that. A looming storm pushed the ceremony inside at the old flour mill, and while the sky gods kept the rains at bay just long enough for an amazing day before bucketing down at night, it never even fazed these two. They were so relaxed and too busy celebrating with family and friends. They were even adventurous enough for a little shoot out in the rain after sunset, which turned out awesome. Not too many couples are willing to explore a rickety old jetty on the ocean in the dark.
The first stop for photos with Milli and Paul was the St Leonard’s Pier, where this funky little boathouse provided us a nice backdrop.
Milli and Paul were hoping for a sunset photo, but mother nature had a different idea, and threw a storm at us. They were super adventurous anyway, so we went ahead and pulled them out of the reception for a moment, and fought the wind and the rickety jetty for this, and we’re glad we did!
Rain on your wedding day isn’t always that bad. In the end, if it rains, then it rains, you can’t help that, Why not just embrace it!?
