A fortnight ago we took off on a drive out into the country to go on an adventure with Megan & Paul, exploring all the rad little area of Redwood Forest in East Warburton, Yarra Valley. They call it the “best-kept secret” apparently?? but I think the secret is out – it’s become a very popular spot, and for good reason, it’s gorgeous!
There’s row after row of these beautiful giant Californian redwoods towering above you, which kind of makes the forest quiet and cosy. Scattered everywhere are these huge circular woven sculptures of fallen branches that people have been adding to over time. Strange looking things, like birds nests for dinosaurs or something… but they look rad so of course, we had to have a play inside them.
It’s definitely a great spot that we love. So much so that we were back to photograph another Adventure Session in the same forest a week later. Here’s a show of some of our favourite images from our exploring around the Redwood Forest with Megan & Paul.
